Dana Wilson was born Dorothy Natoli in New York City on January 3, 1922. She took the name Dana when she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, and became Dana Wilson when she married the original Batman actor, Lewis Wilson, in 1941. Alongside her short acting career, Dana wrote two novels—Make With The Brains Pierre (1946), also released under the titles Scenario for Murder and Uneasy Virtue—and Florinda (1977), which was produced as a West End stage musical La Cava in 2000, with Dana writing the book for the show. Dana Wilson is best known as Dana Broccoli, after her second marriage to film producer Albert R "Cubby" Broccoli in 1959. Cubby Broccoli went on to create and produce the James Bond film series, and although she is never credited on the Bond films themselves, Dana is acknowledged as a powerful force in shaping the longest running cinema franchise in history. She is also the mother of the current Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. Dana Broccoli passed away in Beverly Hills on February 29, 2004.
